confusion

This exactly sums up my commute to and from work.
(insert sad face, if you will.)

New Years Resolutions

  1. Quit smoking
  2. More tattoos (finish one full sleeve, at least)
  3. Punch a girl in the face(??)
  4. Gain some weight

Um, thats pretty much it. Things are really good, and smoking is my only vice. I guess I will just be a meaner witch in 2009. Also, brunch at the oceanfront is my new favorite thing, so maybe I need more of that in my life.

Anyways, xmas was egg-cellent and by that I mean I ate a lot of deviled eggs made by Charlie's mom. Believe me when I say they were delicious and I want some more. I got the best presents, including a purple ipod that I love like I gave birth to it.

We are headed up to NYC tomorrow for New Years Eve to see a midnight Crystal Castles show in Brooklyn. And if that wasn't enough, I get to stop by my sister's house in PA before returning to Virginia. I haven't seen her in a year and a half, so I'm excited. And Charlie finally gets to meet her which is cool because I'm pretty sure he thinks she is a made up person.

Morrissey on Friday the 13th

I just got 3 tickets to see Morrissey at The National in Richmond on Friday March 13.
Jealous?
This is definitely my favorite Smiths/Morrissey related video.

I am finishing up the last full week of work before the holidays. I have two 5 day weekends in a row beginning the 24th.
I am also proud to report that my myspace usage is down by 90%.

Oh, and...

“Don’t carry a grudge. While you’re carrying a grudge, the other guy’s out dancing.”
This is why you can't talk shit on me. I never really give a damn.

Let the right one in

Saw this yesterday evening, definitely recommended.

I'm interested in reading the book, there are some things that they didn't explain in the movie that are still messing with me.

Woman #1: Mandy received her first Precious Moments figurine.

Woman #2: I hate Precious Moments. They steal your soul while you sleep, that's why their eyes are so big.

WANT

I don't know how to make these, I wish someone would for me : )

Bleh.

Santa = Satan

true story

I'm eating a snickers bar the size of a horse's cock.
And last night, I put together an entire book case myself. I suppose this statement is on par with "I used the potty all by myself".
P.S. Morrissey in Richmond March 13th. <3<3

the heart is the carburetor

I am being really hard on myself today. I feel like a piece of shit.

I need to go to Ikea and get some furniture, badly.

So far, I picked this stuff out for a dresser and a new coffee table.

(Theres no 'X' in Christmas) xmas list

I honestly have everything I want this year. I just want to spend the holidays with the loves of my life.
My mom asked me what I wanted and all I can tell her is I need money to go towards a lap top, because I actually need one and I might ask the same of Bryan.

Charlie and I are getting each other tattoos, which was the best idea because nothing says 'I love you' like a piece of permanent body art. I can also go to the negative end of the spectrum and say "Nothing says 'I love you' like 5 minutes of your time and a gift card to bath and body works". Am I right???

[On a side note unrelated to this post, name tattoos are so ridiculously stupid but matching tattoos are backed fully by me always.]

Sleeve

I came across this artist, Stephan Doitschinoff, when I was in NYC at the Jonathan Levine Gallery and fell so in love with his art work that I decided to start working on a sleeve based around some of the things I saw. If you know me, you know that I'm really into traditional style tattooing and religious themes and that is essentially what his artwork is made up of (hello run on sentence). Its too perfect. I just wanted to post a few pictures because they are so gorgeous. And honestly the photos do no justice if you had seen the originals in person.
I want to start my sleeve using one of these devil heads and work from there.

And here is the silkscreen print Charlie bought us. Its signed and limited to 300.

Here is a link to all the pieces in the installation we saw:
